Arda Uysal

Animation Supervisor

Arda Uysal is a talented animation supervisor with an impressive slate of credits to his name. His work has been featured in several blockbuster hits throughout his 20-year career, which includes VFX Oscar-winning projects like Disney's "The Jungle Book" and "Gravity" for Universal.

Having worked on some of the most imaginative and groundbreaking films of the last decade, Arda has animated characters and creatures that have captivated the imagination. He strives to create believable, engaging and entertaining characters and studies the minutia of detail to achieve profound realism.

In 2020, Arda was in charge of supervising animation for “Black Adam” and worked directly with VFX Oscar-winner Bill Westenhofer on defining movement style of the beloved DC character. He also delivered “Blue Beetle” in 2023 with great success. With his expertise in creatures and animals, he also helped shape monsters for “Chaos Walking” ( Lionsgate, 2021), “Carnival Row” (Amazon 2023), and “ECHO” (Marvel 2023).

Arda was in charge of developing the three Hyenas and Zazu for the 2019 remake of Walt Disney's "The Lion King." Working directly with Animation Director Andy R. Jones and under the direction of Jon Favreau, he helped shape the film’s characters and comedic personalities, along with providing interdepartmental feedback for building the tools and rigs to achieve their final animations. Specializing in delivering dynamic performances from animals and creatures, Arda has brought tremendous artistry to the creature work seen in films like "Beauty and the Beast," "The Guardians of the Galaxy," and "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" to name a few. Arda also served as animation supervisor on Universal Pictures’ “Dolittle," which features acting and performances from a wide variety of animals ranging from bears and gorillas to mice.
