THE SYNOPSIS
The DHG group was responsible for creating a brand new capture system called Masquerade which was instrumental in creating Thanos for Marvel Studios’ “Avengers: Infinity War” and “Avengers: Endgame.” This new system uses images of the actor’s face from a helmet-mounted camera and automatically transforms these into high-resolution per frame moving scans of the actor’s face. Masquerade was used to translate all of Josh Brolin’s performances into Thanos’s facial motion. This system is being used across features, games, commercials and new media projects that require facial motion.
