For the first film in this superhero franchise, Digital Domain was responsible for the climactic scene at the Statue of Liberty. Against a background of digital set extensions, CG animation and weather effects, Wolverine and his comrades struggle to defeat Magneto. Digital Domain also staged the digital demise of U.S. Senator Kelly, who dissolves into a pool of water through CG animation.
