For Disclosure Day, Director Steven Spielberg's 2026 sci-fi film, award-winning VFX studio Digital Domain served as the lead and primary visual effects vendor. Under the direction of VFX Supervisor Joel Behrens, a global team of nearly 400 artists delivered 418 final shots for the film's most ambitious sequences. Driven by a mandate for authenticity, the studio eschewed stylized science fiction, shaping its visual effects around real-world UFO reports and military FLIR footage.

The studio's vast body of work included crafting photoreal alien entities and a diverse lineup of forest animals. Teams also engineered a complex 40-shot train chase sequence and generated sprawling digital environments, including a magical winter landscape and an iconic overhead crop circle. To manage these intricate shots across global offices, Digital Domain successfully deployed innovative pipeline tools, including a brand-new, three-tier Creature Muscle system.
