Overview

For a key action scene, Digital Domain’s seamless digital environments make it appear that the heroes are in the thick of battle – even though close-up shots were filmed on a soundstage. The sequence culminates with a tractor-trailer crashing into a river and a V-22 Osprey airlifting it out of the water. These all-CG shots were originally conceived to include live-action elements, but they were ultimately digitally replaced to better integrate with the surrounding CG environment.
