Lou Pecora started in visual effects in 1996 working on commercials, feature films and TV shows. During his 18 year tenure at Digital Domain he has contributed his many talents to numerous feature films. Lou has worked with many of the biggest directors in the industry in multiple capacities ranging from Compositing Supervisor, to most recently, Visual Effects Supervisor on the Academy Award nominated “X-Men: Days of Future Past.” Lou’s talents have been utilized in many blockbusters over the years including such titles as “Maleficent,” “Pirates of the Caribbbean: At World’s End,” I, Robot,” “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen,” “Transformers: Dark of the Moon,” “Star Trek,” “G.I. Joe: Retaliation,” “Stealth,” “The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor,” “How the Grinch Stole Christmas,” “Flags of Our Fathers,” “Letters From Iwo Jima” and many more. Additionally he contributed to a case study in Ron Brinkmann’s Art of Science of Digital Compositing, the classic reference textbook for digital compositing.
